The Workshop Actors Studio

As an actor you may not always want to attend a weekly class but you will want to keep consistently developing your skills, maintaining your confidence, networking with other actors and receiving feedback, which is why I created these 3 hour one off Monthly Masterclasses.

Each class is stand alone and focuses on a particular area of acting.

Classes are £38.00pp. You are paying for a one off class and there is no commitment to any further classes.

Places are limited and your place is only confirmed once you have paid.

This class is for over 18's. Classes are designed to meet the requirements of all experience levels.

Saturday 9th May 2026, 2-5pm DEVISING - NOW ON SALE

This workshop is for actors who want to create work from the ground up — trusting their instincts, imagination, and collaboration to bring something original to life.

Across the session, we’ll work practically to:

• Generate and develop characters, relationships, and ideas from scratch

• Shape spontaneous ideas into clear, playable stories

• Explore structure, stakes, and dramatic tension in devised work

• Collaborate as an ensemble to build something cohesive and performable

• Let go of overplanning and trust what emerges in the moment

You can arrive with a spark — a character, an idea, a line — or with nothing at all. We’ll build from whatever is in the room.

The focus is on freedom, creativity, and discovery — creating work that feels alive, surprising, and truly your own.

WHERE: The Crescent Theatre, Birmingham

SCRIPT TO SCREEN – Saturday 13th June, 2–5pm - This class will go on sale Monday 11th May

In June, we’ll be working with scripted scenes and exploring how to bring them fully to life both on stage and on screen. When you book on, I will send you a script.

This session will focus on:

• Preparing and rehearsing short scenes with clarity and intention

• Making strong, specific acting choices within a script

• Exploring the differences between stage and screen performance

• Using the material as a tool to learn and grow — I’ll send the footage over so you can use it as a way to learn and reflect on your work

Monthly classes run in Central Birmingham at The Crescent Theatre.
